“Opinions on Opinions” has been created to help make your life easier. The strongest and most effective opinion pieces offer fresh context — so you can better understand what is actually going on. What’s critical to know, and what’s not. This substack aims to discuss the most intriguing opinion pieces out there.
There’s a lot in motion right now. News keeps happening: the U.S. presidential election, environmental dilemmas, unsettled refugees, fierce battles in Congress, U.S. legal shenanigians, brutal fighting in Ukraine and Gaza, the yawning chasm between haves and have nots, Vladimir Putin’s schemes, Xi Jinping’s strategies and much more. There’s lots to keep track of. I hope this helps.
After years of running leading opinion sections at influential publications, this is something I know quite a bit about. But you also can expect this substack to be idiosyncratic as well as informed. Read it and see.
So, as one philospher in the early days of television used to say: And away we go!
